Save Our Songlines - Murujuga

I travelled with journalists and activists into the depth of the Burrup Peninsula, home to ancient rock art, stories, song lines, massacres and now an substantially large processing plant for Gas Exports, done by companies with questionable intent who avoid tax and responsibility.

Over two days I worked with Mardudhunera traditional custodian Raelene Cooper to capture stories about this place and footage that was serviced to media far and wide in order to show the impact of industry on this sacred peninsula. I am honoured to learn more and work with the traditional owners of these lands and use what resources I can to help protect these places.

‘Genocide’: Murujuga custodian speaks out against Woodside’s 50-year extension

Toxic pollution from Woodside's Burrup Hub is already destroying the Murujuga rock art — but Woodside is currently asking the Albanese government to approve a 50-year extension. Mardudhunera traditional custodian Raelene Cooper is calling on the government to reject Woodside’s North West Shelf proposal and protect the sacred Murujuga rock art. Stand with her.
