A Limitless Tomorrow
Featuring Selfless Orchestra
Supported by Senator Jordon Steele-John as part of the ‘Art of a Green New Deal Project’
‘A Limitless Tomorrow’ is a three and a half minute filmic poem, written and directed by Perth-based artist Steven Alyian that expresses the sentiments of the ‘Green New Deal’ movement, featuring the music of contemporary Perth ensemble ‘Selfless Orchestra.’
You and I can begin to live in a Limitless Tomorrow.
Selfless Orchestra weave their song across the vast environments of Western Australia as a poem is read by members of our community who have protected, restored and fought for the ideals of a clean, sustainable future for us all.

Featuring the work of the following communities:
Activate the Wheatbelt
Gabbin, Western Australia
Significant clearing of much of the Wheatbelt’s native bushland caused many serious environmental issues. Through the spirit of celebration and the physical planting of trees, Activate’s tree planting festivals have begun to restore the balance.
In Memory and Dedication to Bob Huxley, who's hands, work and vision were integral in the creation of the locations filmed.

‘A Limitless Tomorrow’
Words by Steven Alyian
So much time lies in these hands, but it slips through like grains of sand
Can you help me understand, how to turn this rising tide?
Can we breathe and express our souls, despite the forces that control?
We look up to you, time to pay your dues: energy is a human right
Is it that hard to be fair to each other? To ourselves, our community, our planetary mother?
One hundred percent clean, we have the means - and no one gets left behind
Leaders could you please really lead? Respect our simple human needs
We see through you with eyes unclouded, equality within our reach
A community can truly pave the way, not this machine, crumbling and grey
Like the concrete stamped beneath our feet, all these structures will fade away
We can flourish in our communities, take pride in responsibility
Every soul is such a fertile seed - to end a crisis, here and now
I feel the light unravelling the thickest layers of our skin
You and I can begin to live in a limitless tomorrow
Endless opportunities to be removed from all our sorrow
You and I can begin to live, in a limitless tomorrow
It no longer feels impossible to stop the pointless wars for oil
If we sing our hearts out will a seed be sewn tonight?
Reallocate military wealth, turned into energy and health
By the people for the people - ask! - What kind of future do we want?
Watch us rise watch us soar, to the sky from the ocean floor
Without fear or judgement, we can all survive
We only rise to greater heights, not one single person be denied
With you by my side, we are unstoppable.
We ARE unstoppable.
I feel the light unravelling the thickest layers of our skin
You and I can begin to live in a limitless tomorrow
Endless opportunities to be removed from all our sorrow
You and I can begin to live, in a limitless tomorrow
